Report, photograph, edit packages as a one-man-band bureau reporter for the Dubuque newsroom of NBC affiliate for eastern Iowa (covering Waterloo, Cedar Rapids, Iowa City, Dubuque). Responsible for maintaining contacts, going live most every day, pitching story ideas, and following leads. Work closely with coverage partners at local newspaper on stories and special assignments. Story coverage has included deadly EF-5 tornado in Parkersburg, floods of 2008 in Cedar Rapids, and country's largest immigration raid (at the time) in Postville.

Focus on general assignment reporting and health reporting on current stories in the advancements in the field of medicine and local health concerns.
